Christine's collection of short stories and poetry is largely based
on her first disastrous attempt at womanhood in 1985. Two years of
burgeoning self-awareness, spiraling addiction, sexwork and
borderline insanity are captured in this eighty page postcard
from the dark underbelly of San Francisco's meanest district.

Nola Van Della is a transsexual surrealist from San Francisco
who did the cover art, plus most of the book's illustrations.
Influenced by H.R. Giger and Salvador Dali, Nola works
mostly in pencil and ink. These low-res scans do not do
justice to the near-microscopic detail of these drawings.
