Personal Gear
Vocals
Christine
and Rynata
both use the Alesis Quadraverb II,
a MIDI-controllable digital effects processer which provides
delay, flange, chorus, reverb, pitch shifting, EQ, distortion and
other ungodly effects in a very user programmable configuration.
Christine
also uses the Digitech Vocalist II harmony processor,
also MIDI controllable, and a Shure L4 wireless headset
microphone to allow her maximum freedom of movement to molest selected
members of the audience whenever possible.
Guitars
Christine
plays either an Ibanez Roadstar or a Warcaster* guitar
through a Nady 201XL wireless set and Digitech RP-10
guitar processor into Peavey Renown 150W amplifiers. Onstage
she employs a Korg DTR-2 digital rackmount tuner.
* The Warcaster is a guitar handmade by Patrick LaSerna of the Left
Is Rite Guitar company in Hayward, CA. It is a hybrid body style
between a Fender Stratocaster and a B.C. Rich Warlock. Patrick calls
'em "Stratlocks" but I like "Warcaster" even better. It sounds more
ominous. The Warcaster also features a Kramer neck, a Seymour Duncan
"Screaming Demon" pickup and a Floyd Rose whammybar.
Rynata
has nine electric guitars, but the ones most often used live
are her Ibanez Flying-V with an outrageous paint job,
a customized Kramer Strat-style, an
Ibanez Roadstar, and a vintage goldtop Gibson Les Paul.
Her Mesa Boogie rack holds a Marshall JMP-1 preamp,
a Rocktron Intellifex, Marshall 9200 power amp, and a
Rocktron Power Station along with her vocal processor and a
mike preamp. A Rocktron MIDI-Mate controls it all. She uses a
Nady 201 wireless set, and
Genz-Benz and Marshall 4x12 cabinets.
R2D2
R2D2
is the affectionate name we gave our live playback system and the
home studio Rynata uses to record our backup tapes. The equipment
breaks down into Live and Studio gear.
